Aquadyne Biological Bead Filters For Large Ponds USA
Aquadyne Bead Filters Are Supplied With A Lifetime Warranty
In June 1999 Koi Camp Aquariology, USA introduced a new feature to Aquadyne, the Dyna~Max Air Assist Bead Pre-Rinse.
This air blower is fitted as standard on most filter models and has been engineered to work hand in hand with modern high efficiency 1/4Hp pond pumps.
The millennium saw the introduction of the 8.8 model. This extremely efficient bead filter offers exceptional performance in a low profile package due to it's machined inverted diffuser system that ensures maximum water flows into the biological filter bed.
Aquadyne Biological Bead Filters
All Aquadyne Bead Filtration Systems are supplied with a "Life time Warranty". The warranty covers the diffuser column, main tank and main head. If any of the prior mentioned breaks under normal wear and tear it will be repaired or replaced at our discretion. Rubber O-rings and seals are covered by the warranty for 2 years.

Aquadyne bead Filters are suitable for most large ponds
A factor sometimes overlooked when choosing the correct filter for larger fish ponds is the efficiency of the bio-filtration mechanism that will be used. Aquadyne bead filter systems are amongst the most efficient and reliable available.

Chart, Data Clarification:
Maximum Pond Size: The pond size shown is an indicator of 2 things:
- Maximum Pond Size: The actual size of your pond can be smaller than that indicated as the maximum pond size. Using an Aquadyne Bead Filter that is rated for a bigger backyard pond than your own pond would result in more efficient filtration, allowing you to keep a higher fish load.
- Using an Aquadyne Bead Filtration System whose maximum pond size is smaller than your pond is still a viable option providing that the fish stocking density isn't that high i.e. you don't keep too many fish, particularly Koi, who produce a lot of biological waste.
Minimum Flow Rates:
This indicates the minimum flow rates needed to backwash the Aquadyne Bead Filter, which unlike the normal filter cycle needs to significantly higher. Using a 2 speed pond pump will allow you save energy consumption during routine pond filtering, whilst allowing you to select the higher speed when you need to perform routine cleaning of the Aquadyne filter.
Maximum Flow Rates:
The maximum flow rates listed are a cross section of two factors. Mechanical control head port size for efficient flow without significant restriction, and contaminated water contact exposure to the billions of beneficial bacteria residing within the filter. Without a doubt, slower flow during the filter cycle is better, but, a faster flow rate also places the recalculating water in contact with the media more frequently, netting near identical nitrification results.
Maximum Pressure Rating:
Aquadyne Bead Filters are pressure rated to a phenomenally high 50PSI, unlike many competitors models, who due to weak spin welding and thin wall construction can only handle 15 PSI; no where near sufficient enough a PSI rating for a decent medium head pond pump cable of producing a decent flow rate.
